Monday 5th May 2008 - NORTH LINCS RIDING CLUB SPRING PILLAR RIDE
This is a rare opportunity to ride through some of the most magnificent private woodlands in our area. Pillar Woods is an area of outstanding beauty and home to many wild animals, including deer. Starting any time between 10.00 and 11.30 am from Pelham’s Pillar, near Caistor, Lincolnshire. The ride will take you through Pillar Woods and other estate woods down to Grasby Bottom and back up through Limber. The route is well marked with white arrows on the ground. There are two routes 3 or 10 miles. Refreshments will be available on your return. Hard hats with chin-straps must be worn by anyone mounted on a horse or pony and all children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No motor vehicles may enter any of the off-road sections. Pelham’s Pillar is just off the A1173. Turn off the A46 at Caistor onto the A1173 and after approximately half a mile carry straight on instead of turning right and you will see the Pillar (it is quite tall!) on your right. Members £6 Non-Members £8. Sorry, No dogs or cycles.

25th August - Grimsthorpe sponsored charity ride
Sponsored ride over the Parkland and Farmland of Grimsthorpe Castle, In aid of St. John Ambulance in Lincolnshire. Part of the annual fun day at Grimsthorpe Castle.
Horse box entrance via The Oaks. Ride start 12.30 p.m. , all riders should have started by 2.00 p.m. 5, 7 or 10 mile ride.Rosettes to all participants. Voucher to rider who raises the most .
